When you click the button or the button from the toolbar, the Order Ticket dialog box appears (see Figure 4.1 below).

Note that the Buy Order Ticket dialog box has a blue background, whereas the Sell Order Ticket dialog box has a red background.
The order ticket title displays the selected contract, and the number that follows Pos: is the number of positions you currently have in this contract.
If you click the double arrow (on the top line in the blue/red left hand side of the dialog box), you can toggle between a partial view of the Order Ticket dialog box (see Figure 4.1) and a full view which includes the Exit Strategies and Order Managements pane (see Figure 4.2 below).

The partial view is all you need in order to place a simple order (see Placing Simple Orders on page 25). You need to use full view when you want to use a bracket (see figure above).
